Teaching Team

The goal - take time every day in the month of November to reflect on something I am thankful for. By sharing our thoughts, bloggers all over the net just might inspire a culture our gratitude, which, we think, will make the world a better place.
Thanks for reading.

On November 1 I am thankful for my teaching team. Today we sat together at our Common Planning Time and really worked out how we can tackle some upcoming challenges together. This team is made up of many personalities and yet we all seem to get along OK. Not perfectly, but OK. The not perfectly part was highlighted earlier in the week as I listened to some ruffle over minor events and looked for help and support where none was offered. Still, we can work off each other’s strengths to build our own classrooms so that the second graders get the best possible education. We make it work.

At our CPT, we looked at how to integrate some new learning from a recent professional development, shared tips on managing Math Activities so we could work with small skill groups, and made a plan to meet next time ready to make activity packets for each other. It was a productive meeting.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work with committed professionals and for the time to collaborate with them.
